Chronicles from a Catalan Dolphin

This blog is about the crazyness-turned-laughing about living in USA and surviving to it.
Hey, better laugh about than cry about, right?

I write from Ohio, where I am doing my Ph.D. at Kent State University. Tough science, rough parties and global roomates...

Latests developments on my left hand sore. Do you remember how impressed Dr. Agarwal left me with her speed diagnostic about my 9-months old sore? Well, as if the sore would be a pathogen, Agarwal's dream cream -basically A&D for diaper rashes- effect lasted...One week. Yes! My hand healed, but my three sores returned like the Jedi Knights in Star Wars and now they are in a full blast grip of my poor left hand again. Doesn't matter that I continue to add daily tons of A&D... No effect. So, after all the fuzz, I'm back at square one: three sores from  unknown origin in my left hand.
Didn't even mattered that I spent another $25 visiting Dr. Agarwal... Now, on top of the same diagnostic -a little more harsh because I didnt dutifully bought and swallowed the anti-fingui pills she recepted me two weeks ago- Dr. Agarwal added two words that are always troubling to pathom for patients: "incurable" and "immunosuppressor". Got it? Yeah. When no run-of-the mill 21st-century creams seem to excerpt their effect, there is only one easy answer for doctors nowadays: "honey, ur shit is not curable". That's what now she perspirated to me. But oh, wait, she also added the other juggernautic word. "Immunosuppressor'. Yeah, right, like I'm going to shut down my immune system with chemicals exposing myself to all the nasty cold viruses and god-knows-what-is-out-there trash to fight only my 3 sores. Like we say in Spanish: "si hombre, faltaria mas!"
