Chronicles from a Catalan Dolphin

This blog is about the crazyness-turned-laughing about living in USA and surviving to it.
Hey, better laugh about than cry about, right?

I write from Ohio, where I am doing my Ph.D. at Kent State University. Tough science, rough parties and global roomates...

Hey, the tittle sounds cool eh? Yeah, I went to the Portage County Jail with the japanse ESL and their professors. The place is not officially called "jail". Following the love Americans show display for ephemisms, they called it "justice center". That's how literally is engraved in the welcoming plate. And don't think they give you any indications of where to be found. Basically, it's in the middle of nowhere. That's of course, in case a meteor hits the area, so it's the only thing that gets destroyed.
The tour is cool enough to get 30meters from murderers and rapists. But who's who? I always wanted to see the face and eyes of a murderer, and I though "hey, today it's my chance". But no. You know, it's hard to tell if someone is a murderer when they don't provide hints...
